My New Year Resolutions and Wishes!

The Year 2009 seems to fly past in a blink of an eye. Year 2010 is here to stay (at least for another 12 months) and here I am, making New Year Resolutions and Wishes again. Resolutions are made to be forgotten so why make them you might ask. Well, just for the fun of it, at least we will remember them for like 3 months and try to achieve them before we totally forget about them. Well, its already a quarter of a year achieved! So here goes...

My New Year Resolutions:
1) To save more money
2) To de-clutter my room once every quarter
3) To scrap one layout a week, thereby de-stashing my scrapbook supplies
4) To cut down on scrapbooking expenditure (only buy when necessary and not to hoard)
5) To concentrate at work and limit skiving to only about an hour a day (preferably in the morning before I even start work. Maybe reach at 730, skive for an hour and start work at 830)
6) To blog consistently without having to do catch-up posts
7) To meet my friends at least once a quarter (too many to meet once a month)
8) To stop my petty character. Maybe just improving it. I must remember to be kuan hong da liang.
9) To tone down on my bitchiness and not swear so much. But it's inborn! I swear!
10) To make at least USD 1k on options. This I have to work hard on it. So lazy to do the researches...

My Wishes:
1) I wish I have money for a Miu Miu bag/Chanel bag/Prada Wallet (But den buy so ex for what? Hope someone gets it for me la, from my pocket I wont buy)
2) I wish that everyone in my family including Nana and her family are all healthy and well
3) I wish that work will go smoothly and well for this year
4) I wish that I will not have any financial squabbles/problems/obstacles this year
5) I wish that whatever I wish for in Year 2010 (anytime, anyday) will come true!

See i so nice right? 10 resolutions and only 5 wishes :0)

PS: I am now at Conrad. This post together with the number 1 person I am thankful for are all pre-scheduled. Clever? You bet! Happy New Year!! Muacks all!

The First!

May I have the honor of introducing the world's greatest mum ever in history on earth? Presenting.. Madam Koh! My mum is not the typical mummy. She doesnt worry if you skip your meals, she doesnt care if you come home late. She is super laid back and cool. All because, she trust us to be able to take care of ourselves. My mummy is a Jay Chou fan and can recognise which song it is from the first few bars of the song. She is also a Korean drama fan and can sit for hours in front of the comp to watch. She may have loads to complain about my son, but she still dotes on him much more than anyone of us.

Thank you mummy for giving me and bro the best that you can. It is much more than any children would need. Thank you for holding the family together in times of good and bad. We love you alot though we know you hate to hear mushy stuff but yea, since you dont read or even know the existance of my blog, I can say it out loud here. LOL! PS: Can I have a one carat diamond solitaire pendant please??? *Pouts & Beg*

New year new blogskin~!

I have changed both of my scrapping blog and personal rambling blogs' skins to usher in the new year. Hope you guys/girls love it!

Happy New Year!

The 2nd...

hey hey! This is my guy! Yep, he's an angel sent from god. see that halo around him? Ro may be younger than I am but he is much more mature than people around his age. Hell, he's at time much more mature than guys older than him! He may be young but he doesnt allow himself to be pushed around. He's one guy who is not afraid to say 'NO' to his gf and yes, 'NO' is the word i hear quite often, so much so I rather do stuff myself than asking him. Whahaha.. He's a sweet darling though, going with my whims and fancies, having whatever food that my craving brings us, doing chores for me without me having to ask at times, ensuring that I am taking good care of myself and being such a good sport by allowing me to invite my mum along on many an occasion.

Thank you darling for all you have done. I may not praise you at all, I may not thank you but its all cause I dun want your head to be even bigger. Wait your halo cant fit no more how? Kekekeke.. Thank you for your tenacity in getting me and giving me the best of the past two years. I love love love love love you.. Deep deep k?

PS: I am still sore for not having 99 roses.. Please order from Far East Floral.. :(

Guess who I saw

when i went over MWL to collect my stamps?

Miss Chia and Madam Lee together with Madam Neo! Kekeke.. Mae Sie and Aunt Jinny has caught my scrapping bug and were at MWL getting supplies to start on their scrapping journey.

Phyllis was with them and complained that years ago when she started scrapping, Mae Sie refuse to be involved and said its a boring hobby. Guess she finally understood how interesting it is!

So mother and child went almost crazy in the shop. Mae Sie grabbed 2 albums and a sheet of accent. Aunt got 1 album, 2 step of thicker, 1 pack of prima flowers, 1 pack of prima bling and 28 sheets of pattern paper. Mind you, Mae Sie was at MWL yesterday and had gotten 20over sheets of paper too! (Happy me lent them my card to collect stamps coz being only a Frequent shopper card member, Mae Sie enjoys the storewide 20% only if she spent more than $60 but no stamps issued whereas I get to collect double stamps. so why waste! One section of card cleared! Shiok one lor!).

So cool to have a super onz mum who will participate in everything you do. Now they can share their scrapping supplies! Well, I can see them scrapping together at the dining table. LOL! I am so looking forward to scrapping with them.

Oh, Madam Neo aka Phyllis bought 80 pieces of pattern paper, that is not including the day before she gotten like duno how many but minimum 20 pieces? PLUS the pattern papers she has hoarded over the past few years. I bet she has nothing less than 500 sheets of pattern paper.

Talk about paper hoarders! I thought with my current stash I'm bad enough. Turns out i'm still a mild hoarder. But I will continue to strive to de-stash my scrapbook stuff. That way, I will not be wasting money and will have room for new stuff!

The 3rd...

My darling baby. You may be naughty at times, dictative at times, demanding at times, lazy at times, unresponsive at times, noisy at times, but you are still the best! Mummy's baby boy! Thank you for bringing so much joy to my life. Mummy love you! Muacks!

Stockpot & Cookie Museum..

Stockpot at the Esplanade for dinner with Nana. A simple and plain looking cafe that can easily be overlooked if not for the fact that it is right at the main entrance of the Esplanade.

Almost empty cafe provides tons of privacy for complains and bitching. kekeke.. yea, thats what we did. Sharing our pet peeves about the various people that happen (unluckily) to be in our lives.
An easy to read menu that shows how each soup, sandwich and salad looks. Helpful for the illiterate. Just point and you have it.

Mushroom Ragout. So much nicer than Soup spoon. Do you know i never take Mushroom soup at Soup spoon anymore? Cause it makes me burp garlic smell non stop after every bowl. Ewww... But Mushroom Ragout from Stockpot? All ten fingers up! Nice! Its topped with raw golden mushrooms that is 'cooked' after being stirred into your hot soup.

Mussels and Clam Chowder. Full of black pepper taste with minimal amount of potato chucks and loads of clam, this soup is a tie with Soup Spoon's Boston Clam Chowder. Probably coz I am not a fan of black pepper.
I like this picture of me. So happy looking right?
The cookie museum we went. For nice tea and cookies. No photography allowed but too bad, we're not ones to follow the rule. English looking decor of the Victorian era. Not too bad if not for the overly talkative waitress. Waitresses there seems to talk non-stop and with an exceptionally high pitch and superbly inquisitive. Perhaps they take the word 'personalised service' a tad too hard.
Tattered menu with faded gold rim cups. They have been around for 5 years. An excuse for the worn out items? I personally feel not.
Cookie Campelli we shared. An impressive cookie tower (Mango, strawberry and the last layer of unidentified cookie) with a bountiful of luscious fruits and fresh cream in between. Accompanied with a dollop of chocolate ice cream.
(Just noticed out arms are both crossed, whahaha.. purely by conincedence).
Polynesian Paradise I tried, a romantic pink tisane with luscious strawberries, kiwi, apple bits and rose hips. A sweet and calming infusion that uplifted my spirits together with the company of a long loved friend. A bed of roses Nana chose, a top favourite beauty tea among ladies that is paired with yellow marigold. Unreservedly the best tea she has chosen and tried till date.
Cheers to the end of year 2009 and a big welcome to year 2010. I am awaiting for the new year in anticipation. What will it bring?

The 4th...

My beloved Brother. yes, the one in white. And No, he's not my younger bro. Thank you very much, I know I look much older. LOL! No individual photo of him coz he hates taking pictures (I think).

My bro is someone who is very very laid back, the IT guy in my house (but u noe IT people la, PC/lappy spoil muz wait super long for them to fix), the super messy/smelly guy and always in front of his lappy either watching anime or playing his online shooting game. He's either on his bed, at the kitchen table or like most of the time, not around. Whahahaha.. He's basically like my younger brother la, coz I always boss him around the house (not always successful hor). He needs lots of care and attention, if not he will be like a little kid, duno where his stuff is, or where we keep our stuff around the house. But fret not, he is super protective of me. The only brotherly characteristic of him. Whahaha.. But I love him all the same. (Gor gor, I wan tennis bracelet please.. I love you leh.. Buy for me hor.. ).. *Wink*

A relaxing sunday...

Wow... after all the food, Christmas has finally mellowed down to an end. Woke up at 10 plus to settle the finances and went off to Hougang Mall for lunch with Ro and to deposit some money. We finally settled on the photographer and videographer and sent off a mail to them to double confirm.

I guess its been ages since I last had a long afternoon nap? I woke up feeling refreshed and cooked pear soup and fried rice for dinner! My first attempt at cooking pear soup. Had it once at my student's house and going by instincts, I made it! Super sweet and light. Nice lor! But as usual la, my mum had lots of comments. She said its so sweet it tasted like desssert. But I never add sugar or anything! just the pears! so weird that the pears aint that sweet when taken fresh but super sweet when boiled. I like it! kekeke.. A refreshing change!

Its monday tomorrow. Are you guys ready? I sure am!

PS: I am not going to watch Singapore Idol ever again. How can Sylvia not win!!! Duhhhh....

The 5th...

Beautiful Nana! Who else can I want except for Nana for my BFF. Always so gentle, soft-spoken, sometimes abit ding dong, at times slightly bimbotic but always superbly loyal and loving BFF. Nana is always there to accompany me through my ups and downs, happiness or sad times. Never once complaining about how vulgar or rough or low class (superbly seldom cause I am afterall, Jadegirl) I can be. Nana stays in the west, but she has never failed to send me home everytime we meet ever since she has her own transport. Talk about true friends! Do you know how ex petrol can be? She never ever calculates with me. Always there to listen to my bitching, ever so keen to stroke my ego and make my head swell with her compliments, she is one superbly nice lady that is one of its kind on earth! Where to find pretty, smart and nice babes like her?!? Only one and only one lor.

Thank you Nana for being my friend, the very very best kind, forver and ever and ever. LOL! Suddenly sound like primary school student. Nana, I love u! *Blush*

Boxing day!

Check out on boxing day. See Ro's stoned look. It's already 10am in the morning u noe.. Kekeke
We had breakfast at the executive lounge, available to Diamond members and the food were a dismay. Limited variety, we should have chosen to have our breakfast at level 1 checkers.

Well, never mind cause a heavy dinner was coming our way! Headed home to freshen up and also to meet Sylvia who's back for a visit from Vancouver, my mum and my aunt. Off we went, back to Orchard to shop. I know.. but majority wins, they chose Orchard not me...
Dinner at Sushi tei where everyone gathered. Uncle Benny, Mae Sie and my bro came from all parts of Singapore. Kekeke..

Kani Avocado Salad. A must order! Mae sie is now a convert!
Salmon skin. Aunt and Mae Sie's fav but i find it a tad too dry for my liking.
Uncle Benny's special request for Gyoza..
Garlic fried rice.
Miso scallops. A tad too saltish for my liking.
Ro's Chicken Katsu Don.
My favourite Dragon Roll! Golden roll beside it. Cute huh?

Table full of food..
The logistics of passing food around.. Kekeke...
Soft shell crab..
Sylvia's choice of salmon teriyaki. I realised nobody can go wrong with teriyaki sauce.
Ebi Kakiage bento for me which I only took one mouthful coz I was way too full after having all the food, chawamushi and hanasaki ika tempura.

Sylvia, all grown up now. I remember the last I took a photo of her was on my 21st birthday.. whahahaha..
Mummy and Sylvia.
Uncle Benny and Aunt Jinny
Ro and I. Notice I am wearing green? to match Sushi Tei lor...
Mae Sie and I. Mae Sie rushed all the way from Simei down after her dance rehearsal.
Sylvia enjoying her udon.
The three of us. Sixteen years ago, the Lee family had only 3 grandchildren and they are the eldest and the only male, Mr Lee, his younger sister, Miss Lee and the cutest hamburger cousin, Miss Chia. Now all 3 of them have grown up and are enjoying their Boxing day at Sushi Tei secretly! whahahaha....
All the partners in crime at Sushi Tei!
Carried on walking about and ending off at Starbucks.
The men, totally engrossed in their conversation. Dont ask me what Uncle Benny was talking about with that hand signal. Probably saying how small a wiener he saw at the public toilet? Whahahaha...

The 6th...

Mae Sie, Aunt Jinny and Uncle Benny. Kekeke.. Yes, I'm cheating. But they're a family so considered one position. Aunt Jinny is always ready to help and is always there for any one of us in the family. She is an important pillar that holds the Lee family up. Without her, I have absolutely no doubts that the family will be seperated. Ever so ready to show care and concern, she is always on top of all family gossip. Whahaha.. Mae Sie and Uncle Benny are her assistants. More of bystanders they might not show as much concern or offer as much help. But when the need arise, though no such need as of now, I am 101% sure they will be there to show their support.

Thank you to all for you for being there for me. :)

A wonderful end to Christmas Day! (Part III)

Back to the hotel we went, to rest before movie. I know, I am super lazy one lor, keep going back to hotel to rest but so near mah.. why not right? And I get to open my Christmas prezzie before the movie!
Untying the ribbon.
Done!
Now the wrapper...
Albums for my layouts! Nice!!! But something even nicer's inside...

A proposal layout! I duno y but i burst out into laughter. Ro was saying I laugh so loud the whole level can hear me. So he had to wait for me to stop laughing before he read out the journalling on the layout. And hor, he never kneel till I ask him to lor! Sighh talk about romantic. He could have done the proposing at White Rabbit right? So much more romantic but I must say he's so sweet to do this layout. He had to kneel like a dozen times to get the right photo. Whahaha..

Tadah! I DO!!!!
The bling! Everyone please be the judge, he promised a bigger diamond on our 10th anniversary. don't forget to remind me to ask for it hor.
Off we went to end our night at the movies. Alvin & the chipmunks 2! I love the chipmunks and the chippets! They're so cute!
PS: It took me till Sunday to realise what is missing in the proposal. FLOWERS! I wanted 99 roses... :(
