MBS Again....

We're back at MBS, this time round with a bunch of us. MBS has given much too many free rooms than they can handle. They had given us early check in at 1pm but the queue was sooo long that my aunt and mum only got their room number at 5pm. Yes, at 5pm! And the rooms ain't ready yet. We are to come back 2 hours later... So off we went to laze around Grandma's room.

Here we are at my Grandma's room. She had 2 night's stay and had checked in the day before.

Not too sure is it cause of her old age, the toilet facilities has a place to sit when showering and bars at the bowl.

See! She even have a bath tub (with a bar). MBS apparently has many many versions of rooms. This is the 4th version of the city view rooms that I've seen.

Mae Sie, Uncle Benny, Ro, & I decided to go over to Marina Sqaure for our dinner. Rest of the gang headed in to the casino. Plans were to meet at grandma's room at 8pm for the fireworks. Oh, someone hijacked our room. System error and our rooms were given to other, leaving us with bay view rooms at low levels.. Lousy! In any case, we were slightly late and were at the helix bridge when the firework started. LOL! Better view! Didn't take much photos as I was videoing the fireworks.

The MBS behind us. We were on the bridge..

Strong rays of lights from the skypark.

Our walk back to the MBS. Not a long walk on a breezy weekend.

This is our room. Lousy room at level 9. Bay view and it's tiny. No bath tub either!

View from my room in the day. All constructions.. Guess it should look better when it's done.

Up we went to visit the skypark before we checked out. Honestly, the view is exactly the same from the hotel room. LOL! But strong strong wind at the top though. Ok, I just accidentally deleted the skyline of singapore's pic while getting rid of the spaces below so no pic of that for you.
The floating platform and the thousands of HDB flats at the background. I wouldn't pay $20 just to come up here. Would you? 2 more nights in MBS in August.. Should I still come?

Ikea Baby

My baby and his Ikea Bib.. Grandma insisted on taking a photo of him with it. LOL. Popped by Ikea for some chicky wings dinner and gosh! I am fat! Either that or the scales there is lousy. Whatever it is, time for some reality check. I need to lose some weight. In any case, been having some online business thoughts in my head. I wonder if it will take off. Wish me luck?

Arnold's Chicken

Arnold's chicken has been at Hougang Green for quite some time and we finally made our way over to try it. Met Aunt, Uncle Benny and Mum for a chicken-licious dinner.

Prices ain't cheap and we are caught wondering why the perpectual full house everyday.

Peppery skin and huge sized spring chicken, this plate can feed 3 pax! Would I be back? Nah.. I dislike pepper. Any one raved about it? Only Darren who always visit the City Plaza branch.. Maybe it is better there?

The Prata Cafe

I finally got my ang pao box! Yep! I finally bought my bird cage! Time to decorate it :)

Tried the Jalan Kayu Prata Cafe @ the Atrium. Pretty empty throughout the dinner time perhaps due to the location.

Service ain't too top-notch with the service crew always crowding together and talking. Had to try hard to get their attention.

Our order of Mushroom Cheese Prata (at the bottom) and the normal plain one. Do you know I can have 4 or more plain pratas at a go?

Prata was crispy but not fantastic. I still prefer Thasevi at Jalan Kayu.

The so-called non-spicy mee goreng that we requested. End up, it's still super spicy! They used green chilli padis and Ro had to finish it up while I had 2 more plain pratas.

Big head number 1 with his new hair cut.
Big head number 2 who badly needs something done to her hair and weight to be lost..

Hong Kong Cafe with the Gang...

Miss Evelyn has got 25% storewide off voucher and greedy me decided to tag along on her expedition to MWL. Kekeke.. Of course my office BFF got to enjoy the very good deal with me! Loitered in the shop for about 2 hours with a mini-hole in my pocket and off we went to queue at the Hong Kong Cafe for our dinner. Poor Mr Richie Qi waited for us girls to finish our shopping and he didn't even get to visit the Body Shop as planned.

Mr Qi's Beef hor fun.

My Ham & Egg Nissin Noodles

Eve's Vege Pork Nissin Noodles

Andy's Wanton Mee

Mr Qi's extra order of prawn paste chicken

Gen's Pork cutlet Spaghetti

Mr Jay's Black Pepper Chicken rice.

The couple, Evelyn & Andy

Mr Richie Qi & Evelyn the clown :P

Genevieve & I. No pictures of Mr Jay cause he joined us much later. After the couple has gone off for their movie. I had a great time. Laughed so much till I was so filled with air that I couldn't finish my dinner.. I love MWL trips!

Vevuzela !?!?

Found this at my neighbour's table and was oh so tempted to take a photo of it. So Gen and I took photo with the Vevuzela before we knocked off for work.

Seriously it's so difficult to take a nice photo with it while acting like we're blowing it so other methods had to be invented.

Holding it like it's ur crutches?

Or trying to blow it the other way round? Lol! You decide!

I'm too old for...

Loitering at void decks.. Or rather, my neighbourhood has been too unfriendly for loitering. It wasn't like that when I was in Secondary school or in Poly. Maybe I'm now too old.

Met Nana at the void deck and chatted. I missed her oh so much can! New job has kept her so busy that we cant meet as often and this dear sweet lady made the effort to come over just to chat! She lives in the west can!

All I want to say is that, I love my BFF! Muacks!

I know how they feel now...

I know how a new born baby feels, when he/she just popped out of their mum's belly?!? or should I say body? Cause technically it is not belly right? It's their womb and the exit point is... Let's not get into details...

As I was saying, I know how a newborn baby feels now. Or rather, I knew how they feel for the longest time but just did not put two and two together. And I digress. The feeling would be like getting out of the MRT!

No, not just the normal MRT rides. I know you must be thinking I'm crazy. But! I mean, early morning, 845am crowd MRT rides. The pushing and shoving of bodies would most probably mimick the contractions of the mummy. When you reach Raffles Place, even without moving, you get shoved out of the MRT. Pop! You're out. Especially when your shoulders finally get disengaged from the other shoulders around you. Doesn't it feel like a newborn baby, finally out of the womb/tunnel/passage?

I witness an auntie almost losing her balance when she was shoved out.. Pop! Out comes baby! Food for thought...

Lucky layout!

I won the MWL scrap challenge #1 using this layout. Butterflies and envelop are the essential conditions. :) Nana would be most afraid of this layout I think..

Tadah! Misspiggy, the lucky winner! Collected my prize today with Ro.

Stamps from Pink Paislee, VersaCraft Inks and Masking Tape! Yiippppeee! Not to mention I bought/found my lace at Spotlight!

~ Entre Nous Creperie ~

Tucked in a small corner/shop next to Raffles Hotel, this is one little cafe that I have been wanting to try ever since Nana posted on her blog.

Pages and pages of crepes of different ingredients that left us spoilt for choices.
Pretty empty on a Sunday late afternoon. I guess the crowd usually comes in on weekdays.

La Ouessant we had. Buck wheat crepe with eggs, hams, emmental cheese and mushrooms. Yummy yummy!

Came with a mini bowl of salad. Healthy! We had the apple with salted caramel (Geraldine's Favourite) for dessert and I must rave about it! Sorry I lost the photo of it. The caramel is GOOOoooooooooodddddddd~!!!! It ain't too sweet and it ain't too saltish.. It is jussstttttt NICE! Go try it!

Collected My Photos!

Today! Here's my choice for my huge ass bed portrait. The length is the width of my queen bed mattress.. lol! Collected all the barang barang and headed to Justco thinking to grab a bed sheet at Akemi. Godness gracious! RM199 for a simple set of bedsheets! Thank god the sales man is honest enough to let us know there would be 70% off next weekend so next weekend it would be, for the purchase of bedsheets. Going to load the photos into FB but only family and a selected few will get to see. Rest of you, Cya on 10th Oct 2010!

We found the dress!

Yes we did. From Ion we shopped the whole of Wisma, then to Paragon, to Tangs, to Far East and down to 313 and Orchard central... And she finally found her dress! Got dead beat that I forgot to take any pictures other than the chicken hor fun I was having at Old Town. Tucked in and totally forgotten about all other photos for the food. Yep, I was dead beat.. Glad she found her dress! Now to convince her about the belt... lol!

Pilates!

I've forgotten how good it feels to do pilates. The feeling of the abs crunching to hold each and every position and the trembling from the exertions.. I love it!

So very very tempted to sign up for Pure Yoga, I can imagine tues yoga and thurs yoga core.. But finances doesn't allow me to commit. Not to worry, sports hall by the Singapore Sports Council has them! At a fraction of the price!

Thank you Gen for accompanying me for Yoga Core yesterday.. I had fun!

Pure Yoga

Went for the one week trial at Pure Yoga yesterday and I must say it is nothing like what I went through at the Sports Hall. Classes are tougher and more enjoyable as I can see the various poses of Yoga compared to the classes at the sports hall which are mainly stretching exercises that the instructors conjured up and only 10% of yoga poses.

Was supposed to wake up at 1am to catch Jose but overslept and jumped up from the bed at 330am. Well, thank god I am still in time for the various reclass and I am glad I took the effort as Jose didn't refresh my report till I was online to ask him to do it! Emails obviously doesn't work on this guy...

In any case, I went back to bed at 7am and here I am working again... Sigh.. That fellow didn't refresh the report again. He was supposed to do so after the entries are in... Let hope he does so tomorrow..

Hot classic yoga tomorrow at Pure Yoga.. I hope I survive.. 75mins okie! Thanks to Gen who wanted to try.. I wana do Yoga Core!

~ Happy Birthday Mummy (Part 3) ~

We agreed to go out for dinner and shop about Orchard after I was done with my reports but Mummy got lazy and didn't want to travel.

And so she suggested Tampines Mall, Ding Tai Fung. The picture above's my new house. Mummy made dad drive us there to peep before we head for dinner.

I seriously have no idea why Tampines mall reminds to be so packed and crowded. Even Tampines 1 and Century Square cant fight it. Must be the feng shui. There's something about Tampines Mall that draws crowds.

The prawn pancake. Order this for the old folks to try. Yummy!

Mum's pork cutlet noodle.

And our favourite fried rice. Ro asked how many times the photo of the prawn fried rice.. countless!

Shanghai drunken chicken that tasted like our normal boiled chicken with chinese wine.

A must have! Soup dumplings! My favourite from Ding Tai Fung!

Mr Ro finally got to try his layered cake. I can never have enough space at the end of the meal to let him order and try. With 4 person, he gets to try! Normal lor... Lol!

Happy Birthday Mummy!
