When in Rome...

Its been a long time since we last caught a movie.. When in Rome starring Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel. Almost booked Vivo if not for the last train service. I would have been able to see Nana in the theatre..

Just before the movie started, Ro knocked into me and spilled the tray of nacho cheese on me... So off I went to the ladies to wash off,(rolls eyes..) and back to enjoy the movie with wet clothes... But hey! I love the movie.. always a sucker for romance movie, I love this movie! Rome, a country which I have been wanted to visit. I love Rome! Maybe if I finally get to visit it one day, I can imagine Ro as Josh Duhamel.. LOL! Tall Dark Handsome!

PS: I couldn't throw my temper in the cinema as Ro's secondary school mate was sitting beside him. Yep, just such a coincidence.. Sigh..

Flower Power...

Met up with Cindy yesterday after work for some retail therapy at MWL and she went literally crazy given that we have 30% off. So happy that she has finally gotten her cutterpede. But my retail therapy doesn't just stop at the stuff I bought yesterday. My scrapbook 'teacher' Leena just came back from Thailand and she brought back flowers! Both 3 sets from her.. I know! Lol! A total of 250 flowers and 100 pieces of leaves.. My wedding favour is confirmed!

I'm aching all over...

Yep my photoshoot for this weekend is over but due to the rain on Saturday, there will be another round of photoshoot just for JB area. A total of 6 indoor gowns with 6 different looks for Saturday but no photos to show. Silly Ro had locked the camera in the locker with the bags. Fun fun fun! I have double chin! 'Mind your chin! Mind your chin!' Kevin the photographer would say..

Here's my look today for the desaru portion of the shoot. Simple simple I like. Not too sure why the photo doesnt reflect, but my face had ICI painted on it. It's really thick and I keep thinkin the photos will look horrid. Thankfully its not so bad on this photo.

Photo of us taken in the car while waiting for the staffs to get ready to head on to desaru. Thankfully the weather is not too hot. Sunny at the first location but just nice on the rest of the locations. I think I've overcome my fear of grass, having to walk through big fields of wild grass and lalang... and yikes! Sit and lie on them to pose!!! Total of 2 gowns for the desaru trip which brings the number of gown worn to 8 gowns just this weekend. 2 more for the next photoshoot and its a perfect 10! Next photoshoot should be easier.. I hope.. All the twisting and turning has given me a bad bodyache..

Me a happy girl!

My very first set of gel nails. Here's the close up of it. Still feel I should have omitted the crystals. I love the simplicity of this design..

Pardon my boney fingers. Just wanted to let you guys have a feel of how it would look overall. I love how the gel makes my nail bed look such a delightful pink.

Matching toe nails to fit. My nails are stumpy and ugly!~

OMG, Wrinkly too! SKII for toes? LOL! I heart Gladys. She made me a happy happy girl! Always remember, Less is more!

The green room..

The mere mention of the green room used to give me shudders.. No thanks to Mr Irvin, for banishing me there for my training..

And with some fear (joking la!), I went over to Bishan Park with Nana to explore.

The GreenRoom Cafe. Serving only organic vegetarian food.

It's sister cafe, Canopy is just beside. I prefer the GreenRoom's decor more. Canopy is non-vegetarian and you can order GreenRoom's food over if you like.

Clean white space gives the little cafe a roomy feel. Don't hesitate to chose the alfresco dining that they also provide.

A simple no fuss menu awaits you. Not much of a choice but you can be sure they're all full of goodness!

Baked mushroom brown rice. I'm starting to suspect Nana and I are twins. lol! I know la! I so ugly how to be her twin right? Okie, I'm starting to suspect we're telepathic. We both chose this dish! Shitake & button mushroom, soy milk bechamel topped with Cheddar Cheese. So yummy you wont even remember it is good for you!

We order the GreenRoom pizza whose picture is missing. Nothing to rave about but its deliciously thin crust gave me a sore throat till now.

Share an old fashion apple crumble between us but we didn't manage to finish it. Too full by den we are, caused by our smoothies. lol..

My Creamy Avocado smoothie with too strong a soy milk taste (thus I didn't finish it) and Nana's Banana Fig Infusion.

Will I be back? Yes I will! Ro's a vegan on certain days of the month and I'm sure to bring him here when those days falls on weekend. After all, he'll be paying, LOL!

Thank you Nana, my dearest mushy wushy BFF for the wonderful dinner!

Ramen Play @ 313

A Sunday out with Mummy in search of her jacket for her up-coming trip to Japan.

Ramen Play @ 313. Chance upon this ramen shop while waiting aimlessly in 313 searching for our lunch.
A very casual dining experience with customers that are mainly families with kids.

Do you know that Ramen Play is part of the breadtalk group?

My choice of Tonkotsu Ramen. Traditional, home-made goodness at its best. Flavourful soup base with super thin slices of pork.

Mum's choice of Tonkatsu Ramen. The katsu can definitely be improved. It is marinated in curry powder. We prefer the traditional katsu.

Gyoza that can be ordered in either 3 pieces size or 6 pieces. Hungry mummy order 6 and I had to clear 4 of them as she was too full to finish in the end.

Do give Raman Play a try. It aint as good as Santouka for sure but it aint too bad. I enjoyed my noodle alot.

Mummy managed to get her jacket from Uniqlo. Armed with this jacket and my trench from H&M, she is now really to fly! Envious..

We went over to Orchard as 313 is really too small to shop, lol, and met Ro at ION when we were walking over to Wisma. So on and on we shopped and I managed to get 2 sandals from Pretty Fit, 2 packets of Japanese potato for button at Isetan, a canvas stand from Art Frenz and even Ro didnt go home empty handed. He collected his pants from Zara. For once I didnt go home empty handed!

The bosses rule....

Bosses at Vivo. A place where Ro has been bugging me to go. Dark and black decor with even more dark faced waitress. Maybe its their theme? The waitresses there are stern and sullen.

Crispy fish crisp as an appetiser while we wait for our dishes to be served. Suspiciously tasting the same as our keropok..

Deep fried frog's leg with ginger crisp. My all time favourite. A must order when I was young whenever I dine at any Tze Char. Just as well done here in Bosses' but Ro complains that there are more ginger crisp than frog meat.

Spinach in butter sauce. Not our best order I would say. Just a very very slight taste of butter. Too normal to our liking.

Salted eye yolk prawns. 10 prawns between the 2 of us. Mr Ro didnt particularly enjoy it. Complaining that 2 dishes are both fried. I like the prawns and my froggy leg... kekeke.. Somewhere in the middle of the dinner, there were fireworks coming out of Resort World. I probably had enough of fireworks over the CNY. It didnt manage to impress me at all.

The famous dessert of Bosses.. I gobbled up 2 but Ro was too full (of complaining) that he only ate one. Not too bad but nothing to rave about. I thank Boss Ro for this expensive dinner as it is probably the last time we will ever go, given his grumbles about mediocre food.

A sunday brunch..

At Gusttimo. A limited choice as its Brunch but the food doesnt disappoint. Previously had lunch with Nicole n Ashley and am happy with their food, thus, here I am today to try their brunch.

Eggs florentine. Sauteed spinach, English muffin, Poached eggs, Chicken chipolata, sauteed mushroom and crispy bacon with hollandaise sauce. Rowan's pick of the menu and I must say it's good! My fav eggs and bacon. Used to love mushrooms like crazy but not too sure why I was abit scared of mushroom today. Must be the Marche incident.. I love this!

My choice of carbona as I was lookin for something not so steep in price and also cause I was feeling really hungry. Gusttimo's pasta never fails. Oh, Ro's order is $20, excluding taxes.. Mine's only $16.80. Value for money.

A picture of us before the day went downhill. Oh well, when it's really down, the only way it can go is upwards :). Let's just be positive and the best will come!

Settled!

One item off the to-do list but I cant help but lose my temper over the procrastination of the other stuffs.

Why should I be so anxious? Why should I help when the parties who are responsible to do it isnt? Where is the sincerity? Why should I be pulled into the hot waters with them (getting lectured) when I've done my part and its them who are lacking in theirs? Why should I bother to help and suggest to do research when the parties aren't even interested?

I'm getting fed-up. One of these days i'll erupt. I don't know when and I don't know how. Best to keep away from them for now..

I crave I crave I crave.. And I did...

I did my much craved mani & pedi! My nails are too long for me to function properly and I always forget to cut them. Today, I have a superbly huge urge to do mani and pedi and so i did!

Ash and Nicole came over to have dinner with me after my mani and pedi. And silly Nicole was so excited when I suggested Marche. Its been like years since we all had marche. Ash and I last had marche was in 2008 Dec, together. lol! Nicole cant even recall. I ordered the safest stuff which is Rosti and Mushroom soup. Never fails..

Ash and Nicole shared the Smoked salmon crepe, which failed badly compared to the ones sold at Marche Heeren last time.

We were really proud of Ash that she managed to heap so much vege on the plate. But, but but, towards the end, we were all full and half of the plate of vege went to the bin. The vegetables were too raw for our liking, tasteless (yes, even for me!) and cold. :( Well, what really matters most is catching up with each other. Nicole in her new role at work, Ash who's just back from backpacking in New Zealand and me, a bride to be. Yea, very loser me i know.. :P
