~ Watami at City Hall

Watami at City Hall with colorful pictures depicting delish Japanese food.

Wide and spacious restaurant with plenty of seats and space to cater to the crowd. This is where I meet the Hub to have lunch after my scrapbook class.

The rak I won from Pooi Pooi, who incidentally is the teacher for the scrapbook class. A box full of goodies and a surprise! She had included the drawing by her son, Sean, which she used to announce the winner. I'm going to share this rak with Gen and Jess for sure!

Salmon scallop rice that they said will take 25 mins to be ready. We were thinking probably due to the shortage of manpower. But no! The rice is cooked right before you!

Gel fuel that is used to coook our rice. Once the flame goes out, the rice is ready.

Cambert cheese to share while waiting for my rice to be cooked and his Katsu to be served.

Katsu on a gas stove! Served naked.. Where's our egg?

Tadah! You have to pour your egg in! Hands on Japanese lunch for the day.

Guaranteed to be sizzling hot! Ro and I share this while waiting for my rice to be cooked.. LOL! Yes still cooking!

Tadah! It's ready!

Dishing it up to share. I swear that shared food taste sooooo much better!

My life's portrait for 2011. I have to be hardworking to fill them up!

Added prima flowers instead of the DIY flowers made in class.

Cute lady bug clip I found in my drawer.. It's now resting on the twine of my folder.

Oh look! Even Mickey is here! He loves my folder too! LOL!

Farewell at Uncle Leong's

A crab feast at Uncle Leong's for Birdie's farewell. (but he doesn't take crab though. LOL!). Too lazy to queue for Melben and hence Uncle Leong's we tried. Butter crab that was a disappointment. I wonder if the salted egg crab would fare better? My photo of the rice wine chicken, the sambal kang kong, the shell-less cereal prawn and the claypot toufu is mysteriously missing from the blog. Oh well, nothing unique. I wont be back again for sure.

The emptied plates. We were starving as the ECP was horrendously jammed. Poor Mr Jay Tan was stuck in the jam while coming to the office to pick us, and had to get back into the jam when we were going to Ang Mo Kio. Probably would have gotten a bladder problem if the jam was any longer. LOL!

We spot a vampire grissly bear look alike. Messy eater Mr Richie..

And the infamous Mr Birdie! His singature basketball shorts, socks with slippers. He gave us grief when we told him not to dress like that when he came initially. Said its perfectly fine in the states and that Singaporean are weird. LOL! 6 months now and he is still wearing those everywhere he goes, even to Orchard!

~Tantanmen at Taka ~

Tantanmen at Takashimaya we tried. Too hungry to travel to our favourite Santouka nor Q at Ippudo.

A simple and small little area but we spot alot of Japanese amongst us.

Miso corn butter ramen. Not fantastic but still edible, except for the MOUNTAINS of beansprout which I hate. Have to remember to say NO to beansprouts the next time we dine here.

Digging his ear at the dining table. How rude!

For meat lovers, you can order the Cha-su ramen. Huge pieces of Cha-Su that covers the whole bowl. Badly wanted to snap a picture of our neighbour's ramen but too shy. You have to see it for yourself!

Triple Three

A long awaited meet-up with the ex-Infocus gang.

Triple three for dinner to eat and bitch our heart's fill.

Not much of a crowd as we were pretty early this evening.

Kept eating and bitching till I've forgotten to take any other pictures other than my ice-cream. LOL!

Chia Fee Ling, our very thrifty auntie, Teik and Irvin (my ex-boss). I miss Infocus times.. Fun crowd, good boss. Good old times!

Chin Chin @ Chua Chu Kang!

Office BFF Gen invited us over to try her mum's cooking. Partly as a pre-farewell dinner for Birdie.

Delicious Hainanese pork chops specially made for me.. YummY!

Herbal black chicken soup for Birdie. He has never seen or tasted black chicken before we went Paradise Inn for lunch!

Sedap sedap! Wonderful meal followed by a fun Mahjong session!

New Year New Beginings!

Dian Xiao Er @ Nex for dinner and IT's MY BROTHER'S TREAT! Pardon the caps, it's the first time in history that he is giving us a treat and hence my mummy says it calls for a photo. LOL!

Nope, Mr Button did not get to go to the dog cafe for lunch as Grandma changed her mind and wanted to go Orchard. So Mummy went with her while Uncle Ro stayed home to bathe him and accompany him. Both Mummy and Grandma went Nex to meet Gor Gor, Auntie Peixi, Aunt, Mae Sie and Uncle Benny for dinner. Yes! Aunt is there for the 6th consecutive day and is going tomorrow again to order her cupboards from v.hive. LOL! Is that crazy or what?
