Guo Fu... Steamboat... BFF!

Guo Fu at China Square (I think) next to Beppu Ramen.. Small little steamboat joint..

Deserted at night.. the office crowd has all gone home..

Saltish vegetarian soup base and flavourful chicken stew.. The service left BFF in a huff & puff mood..

Buffet at $18 per pax.. It was a treat from the BFF..

See how deserted the place is? Coincidentally in black for the both of us.. Telepathy we may have..

Me love steamboat..

But me love my BFF more! I have a soft spot for pretty babes!

Yippppeee....

And so we had Ding Tai Fung for dinner as I really have no clue what to have in City Hall..

Tha prawn pancakes that were soaking in oil... But nevertheless, each bite was full of prawn paste.. Just block out ur mind about the oil..

The best xiao long bao in the whole of Singapore.. This never fails.. Never ever.. Yummm....

And I opt to share this pork cutlet fried rice with Ro instead of having my usual favourite prawn fried rice since the pancake is full of prawns.. Sharing of food really makes it tastier!

Of coz it's not enough to fill our tummy thus we packed J.Co donuts home as hungry Mummy is waiting for her fried rice at home. So there goes our plan to have nice desserts together.

But hightlight of the day is this set of stamps! I've been drooling over them for weeks and this is the last set left. Not that it is very expensive but I am recently on 'Beggar' mode, everything is expensive to me. :P Almost missed this set of stamp and was going to get only the 'Thank You' stamp (they do sell it individually but adds up to be much more expensive) but thank god, my eyes are sharp. whahahaha...

Best of all, it's partially sponsored by *drum rolls* Mr Rowan Ng! That's him and his Shadowless hands with the stamps. whahaha.. Thank you Lao Ban...

Lucky Day!

And so my plans to RWS was gone as we had taken too long to finish up the housework and bathe the little rascal. Thank god we booked the movie tickets way in advance and we have no reason to laze about at home and waste the rest of our evening.

Visited Manhattan Fish Market for lack of choices in food in PS. Not too bad a choice, I recall tasty flaming prawns and nice fragrant butter rice..

We could do without the soup of the day.. Cream of asparagus that tasted like powder form soup.

Deep fried batter mushrooms are a favourite of mine. Nice fresh button mushrooms used instead of shitake mushrooms like Swensens..

Garlic butter Mussels seems to lose out to Fish and Co.. but delish nevertheless.

And so our platter to share. Have I ever told u I kinda dislike dory fish? Dory fish are all frozen in Singapore. We do not have it fresh. Maybe that is why I can taste the 'unfreshness'. And maybe that is why I am not a big fan of fish and chips..

I love the variety of food we ordered.

Darling says, food taste better when shared and glances to the table next to us. A couple was having each of their own main course..

Oops.. Did I also mention I have butter fingers? Was about to pass Ro the glass of sprite when I accidentally toppled it and spilled it on him. Somehow water and me don't mix :P I think PS is jinxed. First he spilled Nachos Cheese all over me in the cinema previously and now this. Hmm...

But den again, its not a lucky day coz I get to spill water on Ro. Its a lucky day as I went to MWL just to look at the class sample for Aida's Good Days and was informed there is a slot tomorrow as some student can't make it. Ain't I lucky? So happy lor!

Skipped all the way to the cinema and caught Sex and the City 2. Verdict? I prefer Sex and the City 1! This time round the movie seems abit depressing, dealing with menopausal effects and the fear of married life being boring. All these are just part and parcel of life and so far everyone's been able to handle it at their own pace. So drama lor. And OH GOD!!! Wat the hell happend to their sense of dressing?!?! I recall the first movie to be of the latest fashion and all but this time round its juz.... I'm speechless.. In any case, if there ever is a 3rd, I will watch. LOL!

A great start to a loooonnnnggg weekend!

My boss walked over at 4+pm and asked what was I doing. Thought he needed a meeting or some updates on the report but nope. That's not what he needed.. He gave me permission to leave the office early to have an early start to my long weekend!

Hopped onto the Circle Line with Daren to head over to Tampines (he was having his training nearby and he lives in Tampines) and off I went to spend some time in Popular reading a book on our Minister Mentor while waiting for Ro..

Tonkichi we had, to satisfy my cod fish and Pork Katsu craving..

My favourite Cod fish.. too thin I would say, I prefer to have a thick slab of it.

Tonikichi's famous Katsu that never fails.. Not to mention the little hill of shreded cabbage.. Yummy!

Chewy Ika Tempura.. Who cares about allergies.. Eat den suffer later.. lol!

I love the grounded sesame seeds.. they add such nice flavour to the katsu sauce and makes the meat fragrant.

I love Tonkichi.. Do you?

And it sounded like some concert.. with a bad singer... or two...

An evening out with the colleagues, the colleague's frens and THE BOSS. Rushed a report for THE BOSS and got chased by him to 'quick finish up so that we can go for our KTV. In any case, KTV was postponed from 7 to 830 and off to the Soup Restaurant for dinner we did. Succulent chicken with fragrant ginger that made THE BOSS have 2 bowls of rice, just to go with the ginger.. His treat? Nah, He picked the tab but we paid him back.. Yeah.. Finance guy.. :P

My office BFF, Genevieve... Yes she is busty.. LOL! Petite in size but busty she is! Why is the photo in Sepia? That is cause I have no make up and bad skin. Jess has kindly offered to turn it in Sepia mode to lighten the ugly effect.

And these are the girls.. THE BOSS was in a weird mood and didnt want any photos of him inside. From Left: Jesslyn, Genevieve, Karen (Adecco liaising manager) Me and Esther (Gen's BFF). THE BOSS brighten up after Esther reached and sang like ALOT of songs with her. LOL! Karen, the superstar can sing super well.. As for Me, I'm the bad bad singer....

Honeymoon... Honeymoon...

Honeymoon Desserts at Vivocity.. Went pass it once and we decided to pay it a visit after our sumpstous dinner at Dian Xiao Er..

Library-like decor? Seriously not much of a theme here..

Pages of wonderful desserts leave us pondering what should be our choice..
Sweet balls coated with crushed peanuts and sesame tasted suspiciously of coconut shavings.. Mango Sago with Pamelo is our top choice.. Creamy mango cream with chewy sago bits..
Mr Ro was in a good mood. We tried at least 5 times to get a decent self-shot.. Honeymoon Desserts... we should be back soon for more dessert tasting..

And I have a date with Jnr Leau....

Went over to Cindy's house to scrap and also to spend some time with Kyston.. He's just so adorable and leave me wanting to see him more.. He has so many expressions!

Him in a rocker.. I fastened him up coz I am just soooo paranoid of him falling off the rocker.. Its' high up like table-top height..

That's his expression when he doesn't get what I'm jabbering about.. 'Auntie Angie, can you stop your nonsense?' look..

And he's trying to show off his trick.. Of swallowing his whole fist.. Introducing Kyston, the fist eater..

The Oh My God look... 'Oh My God! Are you out of your mind, Auntie Angie??'

I was standing behind his rocker and talking to his mum non-stop while discussing our layouts and this is how i found him.. halfway out of the rocker.. Thank god we buckled him up.. He acts as if he knows what we're talking and he was even able to choose the colors for his mum! Talk about a genius in the making.. Kekekeke.. I miss him so much!

Only for a short while....

A nice dinner meetup with Nana to ease my Nana-deficiency... Tang Dian Wang, a spacious looking restaurant at Suntec. Ro had wanted to try many a times but with its empty looking seats, I always refuse...

I am so wrong.. Always thought the prices are high due to the setting of the place or perhaps food tasted horrible as it's always empty.. But no.. Prices are reasonable and food is good..

Crispy toufu with oats, our favourite... Deep fried eggpant with pork floss, the only way that I take eggplants... Lotus rice with Salted egg, can be better if the salted egg is fresher and more is given.. Silky egg with custard, a tad too sweet but wonderful tasting like pudding..

My BFF.. Nana Chong.. How she maintains her flawless skin I always ponder.. Inborn baby soft skin is what she has.. No wrinkles no eyebags.. this girl is so blessed!

I need some botox on my eyes.. Looking like her mum in the photos with her.. Maybe a major overhaul on me would be good.. LOL!

And So I Succumb...

Jess brought fragrant Caramel coated popcorn to the office on Monday and offered again and again to me.. But not a fan of sweet pop corns, I declined.. However, when she opened a pack of popcorn just now.. and the fragrance of cheese floated over.. I cant help but reach out for it... Presenting, my favourite Cheese Popcorn...

Golden cheese coated pop corns.. all popped to perfection with no irritating corn seeds that are not fluffed up and has to be spited out.. Every popcorn is coated in perfection.. I can so imagine Nana and me gobbling up the whole gallon together..

Garrett Popcorn.. Indisputably one of the best popcorn that I have.. Would love to try their butter too... But everyone, don't forget that pop corns are super fattening.. especially coated ones..

Even so.. Me heart Garretts... Only available at Resort World Singapore, Shop located next to Hersheys.. Go grab some.. Don't forget to grab Butter and Cheese for me!
