Conrad conrad! (Photo Heavy Post)

Meet Ro and Mum at City hall after my half day's work and the horrible two are late! Supposed to meet at 12pm but Ro only reached my house ant 12pm. Worst? My mum wasnt ready yet. So by the time we met is around 130pm. A hungry and famished me had to drag myself and my heavy lappy to Conrad. Enormous light hanging from the ceiling at the lobby. Imgine if it falls, how many people it would hit. The Christmas decor at the entrance and the grand staircase.
The reception area where Ro later found out is not for VIPs like us. Our's at level 31st, the highest level of the hotel.
The Conrad teddy bear tree at the sitting area of the lobby. Yes, I was still waiting for Ro to check us in. I wonder where do the bears go to after they remove it. Mummy says most prob donated to charity since they'll b dirty and old looking by den. But very chek ark to throw oso ma..
Finally Ro appeared with a smart looking lady in tow. Being a VIP (Very irritating person), no la, Diamond member i think, his check in is to be done at the executive level, level 31st.
While Ro was doing the necessary paper work, mummy and i roamed around the lounge. The photo above is taken at the excutive lounge. That's Pan Pac's swimming pool. Looks small hor? Free internet access (i didnt use it) and free tea for members (ditto for this too).
We were shown to our hotel room by one of the staff and I cant help but thank god that I am not them. I cant imagine raking my brains for small talk like them.
The first view of the room. We were given the excutive King room. Prior to the visit, I was still visiting their webby and lamenting that their room is so small. If only we have the exec room it'll be great and guess what? My wish came true! Kekeke..
I love how simple and sturdy the table looks. How i wish i brought my scrapping supplies and do my scrapbooking at the hotel but i doubt Ro would be happy. Hahahaha..
The cosy sofa at the corner of the room. I can imagine making a cup of chamomile tea with honey and sitting there reading my novels. That's ro at the seat reading the welcome letter from the hotel. Fresh fruits, chocolate and a baby Conrad bear is provided. I am naming him Raddy the Conrad bear. I cant name him conny rite? In any case i tot he looks like Theodore in the Chipmunks. The bear! Not RO! Can i rave about the bed? I love high high bed and this one i likey! If i sit at the side, my legs dangle over the edge. It's two king beds one on top of the other. PS: the pillow sucks! Big time! we regret not calling for other pillows. They have this pillow menu that lets you chose from 16 types of pillow. We tot aiya, too ma fan just use the one they provide but regret lor! the down is too soft and provided no support at all.
The view from our hotel room. Yep, its not facing the esplanade area so cant see fireworks. But nvm la, conrad is blocked anyway.. kekekke..Here's the mini bar just outside of the toilet.
May I say i am pleasantly surprised by the toilet? It big, with both a tub and a shower area though i can never forget Ritz's bathroom. That is huge man, I love it.

Ever heard of Acca Kappa? The hotel provides the White Moss Range. I must say its pretty good. My hair felt soft and silky after using their shampoo and conditioner. The tub and shower area.
See? It comes with rubber ducky! I didnt play with it though, lazy to wash it.
I wonder why are the drinking water found in the loo? For us to rinse our mouth?
They placed the shower gel in the shower area just in case you forgot to bring it in. Well planned right?
That's ro with the sulky face inside the lift. I was really hungry and had developed a headache (I get headaches when I am overly hungry) by the time they are ready to go for lunch and i think i kinda screeched at the 2 of them.. whahahaha...
Walked over to Marina Square for Dian Xiao Er for lack of ideas. Thats the setting of our table. Like in some ke zhan (old school hotel).
That's Ro listening intently to my mum talking.
A forced smile from her.. whahaha.. training her up to take nice pictures. That's me. Feeling happy that food is finally on its way.

Fish maw soup! We finally get to try as Ro and I always felt it will be too much for 2 person.
Here's how it looks. PS: taste exactly like sharks fin.. good good.. coz ro is a shark activist. I think the last I had sharks fin was at Janet's wedding in March 09.
Sweet pea, celery and cuttlefish. I hate sweet pea but I love celery.. kekekek
Fatty pork belly, Dong Po Rou, my ABSOLUTE favourite but this didnt manage to make me happy coz the taste of the star anise is too strong. Still prefer Vivo's one. This is our first time trying this dish. Old style traditional fish slices. Not too bad but nothing to rave about. Still cant beat my craving of cod fish..
So after lunch we went on to shop about. From Marina square to city link where mummy proceeded to buy 1 top from mango, 1 top from sense and 1 from bysi i think. Yes, she is a shopaholic. Went on to Raffles city as Ro wanted to get a pair of new jeans. Too bad the model that he liked was out of stock but fret not. They have it at Orchard Central!
So off we went to Orchard Central Levis. I find Orchard Central pityful coz 313 beside is full of activity, bustling with life and there Orchard Central is, empty. The levis store was void of any other customer but us. By den we were thirsty and so i suggested Fruit Paradise.
I know I look like crap but yea, I lazy to put on make up..
New model for Fruit Paradise.
Melon! Mum wanted something else but it was out of stock so Ro got his choice of the melon tart. Okay only. Would have chose the mango over it. Ohhhh!! Mummy wanted mango but it was sold out and needed another half hour to be out. Whahaha.. Old liao..
I finally got my taste of strawberry mont blanc. Strawberry with chestnut cream. Nice!
so off we went to explore 313. And of coz we attacked Forever 21 first. Its not exactly 4 stories high as level 2 and 3 were like half a level of space? Tried on 4 dresses but none caught my fancy. It feels like H&M to me but of a much lower grade :P
So we went with our usual practice, to comb the building level by level and we spent a fair bit of time at uniqlo, playing around in the winter jackets. mummy's contemplating to get the golden down jacket or not. kekeke but we decided to wait till the confirmation of the date she's goin japan before making any purchases.
So on and on we went till we finish all levels above level 1. Hungry me strike again and we went to try out Trattoria given that the prices stated on the menu seems reasonable.
A fake shophouse look. kekeke. the staffs are mainly pinos.

No pictures of me looking at the menu coz both of them are just too engrossed thinking of what to eat.
Cute retro scooter behind us. See alot of ang mo right? behind us and also the table beside us.
Duno y but all my photos look like crap on new years eve..
Three of us shared a mushroom soup coz i peep while walking in and notice they serve huge bowl of it. ok la, maybe just large bowl but its easily enough for 2 pax.
Ro's seafood sphagetti.

My vongole and mummy had carbonara (i forgot to take photo of hers).
The verdict? Its bland and tasteless. Both for mine and Mummy's, Ro didnt seem to have any problem with his juz that it is not fabulous too. Will try its pizza the next round.
So we went on to shop around level one and the basement shops. By then it was roughly 9+ going 10 and surprising shops were still open. Poor service people who are unable to enjoy their new year's eve.
With breaking backs and legs, we took a train back to city hall. I cant even imagine the crowd. Everyone's heading to the esplanade and thank god we're jus heading back to the hotel.
Any plans to walk out to see the fireworks were abandon and we just q-ed to wash up and watch the tv. Catched the fireworks via the reflection of millenia towers and it was just as nice. Whahaha.. who am i kidding.I love watching fireworks but I'm just too exhausted to make myself move after having a relaxing bath.
Here's the view of the fountain of wealth just before midnight.
Woke up bright and early to have breakfast. Apparently not early enought coz Oscar's was packed full. We were then invited to the ballroom at level 2 which caters to late risers like us.
I like the ambience! Nice lor, so grand. The food were all along the walls and mobile stalls were set up to serve omelette, waffles etc. I love the wide range of cheese available. Yes, I'm so cheesy coz of the amount of cheese I consume. Kekekeke. My choice of breakfast for the first serving, followed by crackers and cheese, cereal with yoghurt and chinese porridge. I forgot about the waffles. They were smelling so good you know.Cheers to a brand new year! I hope you guys enjoyed your new year's eve.
Our table of food. Kekeke..
Cheers to the new year! Hope you guys enjoyed your new year countdown. (
I actually had a picture of me toasting with orange juice but i accidentally deleted it and i am so damn lazy to re-load it coz I will have to slowly shift it back down.. Boo...)
PS: i found my wedding shoes at Pazzion... Nice? Super cheap! Kekekeke...
