Sylvia's Back!

Sylvia's back for her Summer Holidays and Mum and I brought her to Universal Studios Singapore after hours visit. Only $5 for entrance with fireworks at 10pm at the Lagoon area.

She is sure wacky as hell.. Crazier than me! Introducing Sylvia Justina Drozdrik... Future Medical Lawyer... She yakked non-stop from 7pm till 1130pm! Only pausing to 1) eat her burger and 2) suck on her lollipop.. Ultimate Yakker!

Brought her to VS for some window shopping before we head home.. She was tickled pink by the statues in the hotel.. Going back soon... guess I'll next see her in December!

Farewell Ashley..

A nice evening out with Ashley to buy her luggage and camera backpack. She finally decided on the backpack that she wants after 45 mins at the Crumpler shop at Paragon. But alas! There's no stocks so off we went to Wheelock with Nicole in tow. She was late cause of client meetings. Picked up the bag and Sushi Tei we went. How boring right? But conversations are not! Had fun catching up.. I'm so gonna miss Ashley when she goes off to London in September.. Well, I'll get to see her in October when I'm there for a visit but after that.. It's another 11 months before I get to see her again.. Really happy for her that she's made the decision but I wished it wasn't THAT far...

August Babies!

A celebration of two birthdays on this day. 54 years ago, while my daddy is celebrating his 1st year birthday, his mum was rushed to the hospital and his sister was his birthday present! LOL! Yes, my dad and aunt has the same birthday. An impromptu dinner to celebrate their birthdays, a very first in 54 years of history!

Set menu for 8 made all of us super full.. Everyone enjoyed the spring onion pancake except for me.. I hate spring onions..

The naked duck, as what my dad, aunt and uncle Benny named it. The duck is specially reared to be a Peking duck they say. Not an ounce of fat under the skin unlike the usual ducks we have.

Banana toffee that looks like durians and fried noodles that were mostly left untouched. We were that full at the end..

Awfully chocolate cake they shared. Both of them seemingly excited and happy when we sang the birthday song. Especially my aunt who clapped along in tune. Conclusion of the night? Both are cam whores! They refuse to close their eyes to make a wish, smiling straight at the camera thru out! Happy birthday!!

~ 29th Birthday (Part 9) ~

The Buffalo wings they had while waiting for me.. yep, I was freaking late and thus the taxi ride which I would never ever indulge in... yep, miser me :P The portion of food was so big that we didn't finish all.. They did try to finish the beef burger though..

A treat from Ling, who's going to be a mummy again! Super thin mummy I would say. Ling, if you're reading, please eat more and Nana and I are both super happy for you and we love u loads loads loads! Muacks!

The BFF & I, the birthday girls in the month of August. She a Virgo and me a Leo.. Similar yet different.. that's what we are...

And so, Nana and I carried on shopping while Ling has to go home to rest and back to her mum's place for dinner. Went through many shops and Nana had a sudden bout of serve headache after smelling too much perfume at Sephora. She vomited and had to rest for awhile. So Jams we came...

~ 29th Birthday (Part 8) ~

Popped by Albert's apartment (Albert's the Rotational Analyst from US Corp - in my hosting day post) at the Ascott adjacent of our office. The sofa's pretty big! Can fit both me n Gen lying side by side. Gen wants to camp there some day.. LOL! While I'm aiming for the dining table. Gen & I can scrap there!

His huge bed that is freaking messy! He doesn't make the bed and says if he ever have kids, he will tell his kids to 'NEVER EVER F-KING MAKE THE BED AS IT'S A DUMB HABIT'.. That's Birdie for you...

Little kid was so excited at showing us the window at the bathroom.. Another desk! Woo! Someone can scrap there!

Normally I get reallllllyyyyy excited about walk in wardrobes.. I mean.. Look at Gen, she looks like the Heineken lady in the wardrobe.. Except she's screaming in fright! Birdies's clothes are all wadded up in balls n dumped on the shelves!

Decent and CLEAN bathtub.. If only the apartment's Ro's.. I'll get to soak in it..

The mini kitchen.. with only 2 stoves so close to each other that you can only use one at a time.. great for instant noodles i guess...

Opened the cupboards to reveal the fridge and the washing machine! Oh, after exploring his apartment, we went on to Vivo to meet Eleanor. Yep, all 3 of us. Eleanor has already reached and we're freaking late. Not to mention EVERYONE (meaning Eleanor, me & gen coz birdie only got invited right before we went to his apartment) forgot to book. So off to Vivo for dinner at Long John Silvers before we head to Marina Square for KBox. Whose system sucks! I AM NEVER GOING TO KBOX EVER AGAIN! Nonetheless, I had fun.. with Esther & Clare who joined us.. No photos.. everyone forgot to take photos.. LOL!

Vivocity! A land of air-conditioning and great food.

Nice potato porridge that brings the heat down.

Rice wine chicken. Delicious with the porridge but a tad too saltish if you were having it on its own.

My favourite cod fish. Thinly sliced and expensive but at least it's fresh. I love it..

Celery and lily bulb. Actually it's celery with onions.

Waited 30 mins for this prawn with egg yolk. Didn't know it looked like this but I would say, it ain't good at all! A total of $80+ for a meal like this.. Birthday girl treats by the way.. that's our rule..

~ 29th Birthday (Part 5) ~

Had to get out of the hot hot sun and thus the Sci-fi City we went.

Nothing much except for the spinning cups that we get when we always visit Genting .. Decided to give it a miss..
