Mind Cafe on 9th Mar 08

late late late blog entry on our wonderful time at the Mind Cafe on 9th Mar 08 with Eleanor & Daren. I'll visit the Mind Cafe again though not for the dinner coz it wasnt really fantastic, but for the wonderful time, playing those games and making silly actions.

We played Chicken Cha Cha Cha, a test of memory. the game's something like old maid, you flip up the cards in the centre to match them to the next picture that your chicky will land on. if you manage to overtake your opponent, you get to take his tail & any other tail that he/she has won from others. Daren's the winner, which is not surprising as he's in an occupation that needs him to hv good memory in case he gets assulted outside by his ex-customers. :P i recalled him saying we're not supposed to disclose his occupation thus i think i'm not making any sense describing his job here:)A pity that there wasnt any photos taken coz we totally forgotten it!

Next up, we played Dogsville. I chose the game thinking it'll be fun but turns out its so complicated that we abandoned it after some time. each of our dogs got to pee, got to dig up trash, run away from the pound car and also collect as much bone s possible.. just too complicated for the kind of fun we're looking for. The photo shows how stressed the guys were trying to figure the game out!

Opt for another game, a Japanese card game, which i will call the 'band of robbers card game'. its a simple card game which the cards we hold depicts the environment of where we are. so we can chose who we wan to 'shoot' and if the person has the same environment card, he/she will have to discard the cards:) Eleanor won of coz.. she's best at shoot ppl.. oh wait.. ro should win rite? he's even beta at shooting aeroplane!

Deciding that the card game is slightly too mild, we went on to play Jenga.. my all time fear! i'm cursed with really wobbly hands, butter fingers & trembling palms, thus needless to say, i lost badly. LOL! we tried to scheme each other by making the thing wobbly n stuff and also making it increasingly difficult like setting up rules like the sequence of coloured blocks we have to pick etc. The most unforgettable post? Daren's PCK technique!

the last game is the best! we played Sayoddles ( think its pronouced as 'say-o-ddles'. there are props that will help you depict the list of items u have to act out for your team member to guess. there is a long sponge, a square piece of sponge, a cup and a sponge ball.. needless to say, mr daren gave us a kodak moments shot :) this game made us dissolve in laughter! getting our team member to guess correctly simply drives us up the wall and since we couldnt talk, we used our hands to voice out our pent up frustration. whahahaha.. ie those vulgarities action. :P

Mind cafe is one place i will go again with them! loads of fun and laughter!
