Christmas Lunch

PS: Missing photos of my brother, Peixi, Mae Sie, Aunt, Uncle Benny and Grandma.

Christmas Lunch at Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck (Paragon). Mum looking all tuckered out as she spent the night at MBS till 2am.

Mr Ro and me with puffy eyes due to lack of sleep. We had watched the Fockers the night before.

Carrot cake. I love dim sum styled carrot cake (and also the English version with cream cheese). However, I absolutely deplore the Old Chang Kee styled. Yucks..

Mushroom Chicken Pie. Very western, confused me as to why is it appearing in dim sum

Oh my, I accidentally deleted the Siew mai picture yet. Too lazy to reload, I can only tell you the shrimp in it is huge. I actually love Har Gao and detest Siew Mai but the Siew Mai here's pretty decent. Soft Char Siew Bao I shared with Ro. Yummy yummy.

Chicken feet which I do not take. Very fragrant and nice was the feedback given.

Beancurd skin with seafood. Tasty crispy they all chimmed.

Yam cake that I do not take. Nice and yammy I would guess. Har Gao, lotus leaf Lor Mai Gai I missed out taking pictures of. Not to mention the Xiao Long Bao. Lack of sleep has affected me. Not so nimble on Pinkie.

Finale by the appearance of the duck.

The chef wields his knife and pushes out the cart.

Crispy skin that he carved. Meaty juice flowing over the duck meat as he deftly skins it.

Piece by piece the meat he carved. A duck instead of a turkey on Christmas day. My aunt's suggestion it was. A funny twist to a longtime tradition of our family.

Two ways of having the duck there is. First the skin with just a bit of sugar and sauce.

Then after the meat with the kin in a pita-like skin. Imperial Treasure Super Peikin Duck it is. No more Prima Duck there'll be. My heart goes to Super Duck.

Hou's Residence @ Guilin View

Nice little blackboard that welcomed us, this is Eleanor's new abode at Guilin View.

Neat little apartment, I love small houses as they are effortless to upkeep.

Rite Pizza awaits us. The chicken wings a tad too saltish but the pizza thin crusted and tasty.

Group photo taken by Eleanor's daddy when he came by and just before he went out. 3 couples of different stages in relationship. Gen & Jay - Soon to be wed, Me & Ro - Newly wed, Eleanor & Alex - the just-got-together couple.

Gen & Jay posing with the prezzies from me & Ro.
Log cake from The Icing Room.

Mango in flavour and the last one on the shelf. Mr Alex had to snatch it from some auntie. LOL!

The girls were snapping pictures while the 3 men shake their head in bewilderment. Girls and their weird habits, they said.

Oh well, Girls will be Girls! By the way, we beat the guys in boxing! Melvin said this group of guys date female fighters.. LOL! We will protect our men in times of distress. whahahhaa... We caught Little Fockers at West mall to end the night. Silent night isn't that silent after all! Check out the videos of us playing Kinect. Best advertisement ever I feel!

A video of Gen & Jay fighting it out at boxing.

Miss Gen the Soccer player

A&E fight it out on Kinect!

Chocolate cupcakes and Gong Cha

Irvin made a trip down to Raffles place to pass me the cupcakes he made. Deliciously chocolaty, one of the best chocolate cupcakes I've ever had. If you are thinking of ordering for some event, do let me know as he does orders too.

Popping by Plaza Singapura to collect my scrapbook loyalty card before heading home, Gen and I tried out the famous Gong Cha to see what the hype is about.

Milk tea made from pure cream instead of the usual milk. Gong cha is a dismay in my opinion. I still prefer the normal milk tea.

This is how Gen looks like when you're talking to her. Forever on her hp smsing be it on her new iPhone or her HTC HD. She obviously finds me a bore for company.

Check out her concentration when snapping a photo. LOL! Merry Christmas everyone! Done with your shopping yet?

Met up with Ling over lunch at Fish & Co Paragon and here's Mr Jerren looking all grown up and cute! Smart little boy he is! At age 2 yrs & 2 months, he's able to sing the ABC song fully, count from 1-10, identify the animals and know his colors! He's also a vegetable lover, especially capsicum, Yes you heard right! Capsicum! Nasty stuff.. and tomatos. Can you see I've been bought over by him? Yes, I love this little boy.. Hmm.. I love all little boys! LOL!

Our Christmas Prezzies!

My first Christmas prezzie from Mr Rowan, referred to as the hubs from now on. 3M polarizing light that I've been wanting to get for the longest time, and Friskars cutter to replace my broken cutterpede. Practical and useful! Love the gifts! Especially since I'm the one who requested for them. LOL!

And here's Mr Button posing happily on my bed with his prezzie from Auntie Emily and Auntie Janet.. Christmas Christmas Christmas! Woo hooO!

My Customary Wedding!

Snapshots from my camera whilst waiting for Simone to be done with the rest. My hair-do for the morning. Coincedentally, both my Singapore mua and my JB mua both tied my hair in braids.

My young and pretty mua, Jenny. She's the one famous for enlarging eyes through make up. I love my make up and hairdo. Both day and night. Pity I don't have any photos for the evening style but patience my friends, soon Simone will pass me the photos. Even my mum's very satisfied with her make up, unlike her grumbling in Singapore.

No make up for her in the morning, just the evening, in case you're wondering. This is my mummy. Do I look more like her or like my mum?

My white gown in the morning. Simple and plain, just the way I like things are.

Kind and pretty babe Carol, who without asking, asked for details and came over to be my 'sister'. More pictures coming up soon! Stay tuned!

Mr Button's Christmas Prezzie..

Bought Mr Button a piglet cause he wanted one when we were wrapping those bought for the other doggies and see what he did? He kissed it! LOL!
