Farewell Publicis Part II

Pasta Brava, the place we have always wanted to visit but heartd is quite ex.

Keep hearing ravings about the pasta and all, but... maybe my expectations of pasta is much too high, i felt it was just so so only.

Attendees: Caroline, Catherine, Sherin, Ashley, Wee Tee, Me, Sancia and Charlene

My lovely Ashley bought me a can of coke and gave it to me when I was in the HR room goofing around. What a lovely surprise coz I used to love coke oh so much! the last can of subsidised 50cents coke from Publicis. Kekekkeeke...
I miss her so much!

A lovely gift from Caroline. In her note, is her usual wish for me " I will not wish you luck, coz u do not need it. U have wat it takes to make your dreams come true'
But But But.. Who will turn luck away? I wan loads of it pls...

Farewell Publicis Part I

Took a bus to Central and we got on a Nokia bus! Its pink and purple in color with comfy seats!

My favourite Miso Ramen at Santouka. Best in Singapore!

Eve with her usual sleepy look, Sancia who is a chilli padi, Nicole with her gentle-ness and Sherin with her usual tiger style (bite when provoked). All of us at Santouka on a tuesday. Yum Yum!

Sweet Julie got me a prezzie. No pic of her but she really is the gem of my life in Publicis. She helped me loads with my work, being very patient and always accomodating to my request. The best staff from Re-Sources!

Semi-Buffet at M Hotel. A treat from the HR ladies and Jenny. You get to order a main dish and then help yourself to the buffet table. Cold seafood, soup, sashimi, side dishes and the dessert!

I ordered Lobster voulevunts, Jenny and Pam had the steak and Michelle had the veal sausage.

Very very satisfying. I had more than a dozen of prawns and Mich has a dozen of Oyster! not the mention the very very satisfying durian cream which all of us had 2 servings!

Yum Yum!! I would definitely go again! (provided i strike 4d)

Ro's Bdae Celebration Part II

Liang Wee Restaurant for lunch to celebrate Ro's birthday! Mixed pig's organs soup, pig's trotters, stewed pork and red wine chicken! The red wine is home made using rice wine with raisins and it tasted good! Look at all the empty claypots!

As promised to Ro, I cooked the world's best fried rice! (thats wat he claims lor, just to pacify me.. whahahaha.

I'm now going to impart my receipe to all of you!

Below is the ingredients needed. Ham, Prawns, Eggs and Cooked rice.

Next up, Campbell soup! How do we make smooth creamy Campbell soup? Here is how we do it!

What is a complete meal without vege? I made stir fried garlic brocoli and carrot.

First, dice the garlic into fine bits.
Next, heat a tablespoon of oil in the wok.
Add the garlic when oil is hot. Stir the garlic about till brown.
Add the brocoli and carrot and fry them together. Sprinkle just a tiny bit of sugar(to keep the green color of the vege) and add a bit of water and let it simmer.
Add Oyster sauce to taste and viola! It's done!

A complete home made fried rice meal! :)

Ro's Bdae Celebration Part I

Went JB with Ro over the weekend on Saturday to celebrate Ro's bdae with uncle and auntie. Instead of going for our usual dinner at the Taman Sentosa for crayfish, we had dinner at a restaurant located next to the usual hawker there.

Stir fried french beans, sweet and sour pork ribs, salted egg crabs, claypot toufu and cockles fried kway teow.

The cockles kway teow tasted just like the the normal kway teow, fragrant and moist. French beans, pork ribs, claypot toufu tasted norrmal. Salted egg crabs were a dismay. The 2 crabs were too small for my liking, and the sauce was not as good as the one at coffee shop near Ro's house.

Cake cutting at Ro's house after dinner. A very light cheese mango cake. Nice! the cake was light and the mango was abit sour,a wonderful combination. Yum Yum! I had 2 pieces..kekekekeke

Brought the Raffles truffle moonies over to let uncle and auntie try. We mixed the box of cognac and champagne ones. Uncle and auntie liked them! Uncle keep repeating that the champagne one is very fragrant. I agree!!!

The nice decor in the classroom.

Ro and I were first to reach! So excited! bought the pop up dots needed before we came into the class. Too bad the bubble bee precision scissors was out of stock so we went for class without scissors! kekekeke..

I had to take photo with the cutter coz i really really love it. used it for the first scrapbooking class and wanted to buy it but they no longer carry it. I like the pink!

This class is superbly intense. Not a moment of free time but I love it! many new techniques learnt! inking (to make the paper look old), using of the bling bling diamonds, using pop up to make the art piece 3d, using the gliter to empahsize on the motifs, co-ordination of pattern paper and usage of patterned paper as embellishment..

Yes! I've been bitten by the scrapbug! I LOVE SCRAPBOOKING~

I wan to buy an item a month :) no budget ot buy everyting one shot but I am sure i wan to pursue this as my hobby. expensive hobby it is but i really feel at peace when doing each layout and a great/huge sense of achievement each time i complete one. I can so imagine sitting beside ro, both of us doing our layouts together on a lazy sunday evening..

Our masterpiece!! top 3 done by me, bottom 3 by ro!

We really need an album to hold our layouts.. A xmas prezzie promised by ro!
