Wedding Bells... Ding Dong... Ding Dong...

Yes!! We're getting married!!!(but he hasn't proposed yet)

Ro and I visited Rasa Sentosa on 8th November for the wedding venue. we're really kiasu coz we wanted to ensure that we will be able to secure the place for our wedding on 10th Oct 2010!

we were supposed to meet the events manager at 12 but we were late. ro says its my fault but i beg to differ :P in any case we reached at 1230 but kelvin, the events mgr only came to meet us at 1245. he's late too! heehee..

first, he brought us to see the reception area, which is just next to the lobby. i like that as people would be directed to the respective areas once they reached the hotel by shuttle bus. then, he showed us the pavillion. there was a set up for a company dinner for 90pax and the room is still spacious enough to sit another 40 pax without being blocked by the pillar. in any case we will be holding a buffet lunch thus everyone is encouraged to walk about. the pavillion is spacious and bright due to the full glass walls that overlooks the sea. from the pavillion, you would be able to see the nice scenery surrounding rasa sentosa. you will b able to see the beach, the pool and the very nice design of the hotel. the only minus point is the low ceiling but kelvin says that once the lights are on, the ambience is enhanced. ro and i went back to take some photos and were quite sure this was our choice. we like the view very much and we're sure that our guest would enjoy it while having their lunch too.

kelvin den brought us to the wonderful solemnization venue, the very reason of us chosing rasa sentosa. the big big tree that cast wonderful shelter from the sun for the guest. the nice white fence area that mimicks the western wedding venues. the wonderful sea breeze and the beautiful sea as the backdrop of our solemnization. i'm sold! the only worry is that if it rains, i will hv to hold it at the pavillion but one should always focus on the bright side. in fact, on my way home today, i've thought of the theme for my wedding! roses & feathers or fur.. the romantic fairytale wedding!

we were shown the ballrooms but we didnt like it coz it was at the basement and the place looks dark n gloomy. another reason we didnt take the ballroom is that it looks like traditional hotel wedding ballrooms with the 4 walls. it was tempting to take the ballroom as there wasnt any pillars but we thought since we're paying so much for the scenery we might s well enjoy it fully by choosing the pavillion!

i'm so glad we've settle on Rasa Sentosa but there seems to be more and more hidden cost. just yesterday, it suddenly pop into my mind if we have to pay for the projectors and yes, we do! it cost $400+ just to rent one from the hotel :(. i wonder if we should source for other places. flowers for decor of the solemnization place, the flower arc & 6 flower balls, cost us $780 already. if i were to use my theme of flowers with feather/fur, i would hv to outsource. i guess i still have alot of home to be done!

first thing first, a wedding to-do list!

Face...

O ya, hasnt been updating about my face but i think its showing results.

No more pimples but the craters are still around so i think it needs much more time.

Lemme post the most recently photo, taken yesterday at sentosa without make up :p
I look greyish and pale but at least no pimples! :)

He's gone...

He's gone off to US for about 3 months for this training at the HQ. Sent him off together with mum & dad this morning..

held back my emotions coz i promise him that i will not cry. but he did.. haha..
tried to cheer him up by cracking jokes but it seems to back fire.

Duno why but tears that i've been holding back the whole day flows uncontrollably now as i put up this post.

But i firmly believe all will be fine. its only 78 days, or rather 11 weeks. by next sunday, i will be down to 10! time always flies so i'm sure this will pass soon!

i will only focus on the positive and be cheerful and independent. after all, i'm made of strong stuff. i definitely will miss him but when he's back next year, we will be busy planning our future together!

la la la!

We're getting married!!! though he hasnt propose yet :P we're doing the process all over the place, in a haywired manner but it doesnt matter. what matters is he's the one! mr right!

so far, we've gotten our flat which will be ready in Dec 2012, we've already decided on our wedding venue and also decided on what traditional process that we are going to skip. it's going to be fun! we've done all without him proposing yet so i guess he's really getting it easy.. hahaha.. but it doesnt matter, what matters is we're in love and want to spend the rest of our lifes together, not to mention of coz he has to show me the bling! i'm not called bimbo or materialistic for nothing :P

will update on the venue in the next post and also the long awaited HK trip. actually, not too sure abt the HK trip post as i'm really really lazy.. :P

still miss him loads and loads but at least blogging abt it and what we can look forward to makes me much happier1

Happy Birthday Janet~!

Pretty Gals, Handsome Guys and a big round face of mine!

Tum tum tum, 1 2 3, we are Kuishinbo...

Celebrated Janet's birthday at Kuishinbo yesterday with Ro, Tony, Jackson, Brenna, Mr & Mrs Pee and Anson. Me and ro kept taking the snow crabs coz they were simply delicious! especially ro was the one who helped to de-shell it. the meat is fresh and chewy with a tinge of saltishness and natural sweet-ness...ummmm... Yummm!!! I'll definitely go there again if not for the price! Definitely a place to visit when there is any occasion worth celebrating for but not for a causal meal.

Happy 19th Birthday Janet! *winks*

Look at my BIG ROUND FACE!

I cant seem to get the song out of my head!!

Tum tum tum, 1 2 3, we are Kuishinbo...

Mummy's Birthday is tomorrow!

Mummy's birthday is officially 25 mins away and she has gone to bed.. probably afraid that her age will catch up with her.. kekekeke..

Went for Tampopo at Liang court with mummy and rowan today for dinner. I tried the black pork katsu while mum had the normal one. black pork taste much more tender den the normal pork. I'll most probably order what ro had today, the black pork shabu shabu coz the pork taste much beta when its juz boiled. yum!

I rushed to meet mum, peixi and bro after work ytd. first they say go defu, den they decide to go what pier place. so i had to take the mrt to marina bay to wait for them.. till 930pm! i stood outside the mrt station for 30 freaking minutes coz there were no benches nor seats available.

that was not the worst..

we couldnt find the bus stop as there were road works all over. there were no available cabs. Thus we walked....

from marina bay mrt station to......

LAO PA SAT!!!!!

my god! can u imagine, standing for 30 mins and den walkin from marina bay mrt to lao pa sat coz we didnt noe the road was leading to lao pa sat. all we wanted was to flag a cab! we muz have walked at least 20 mins along the road by the side with no pavement! so dangerous lor!

ended up eating at lao pa sat coz we were too tired and hungry to find a cab. hahaha.. i bet it was definitely an unforgettable birthday dinner for my mum!
