Rapunzel and double dating!

A double date with Gen & Jay and an early Christmas prezzie day! Today coincidentally is my Father-in-law and my buddy's birthday. LOL!

Happy Ro with his Agnes B haversack. Glad he likes it! Gen got Jay an iPhone 4. The men went home happy and we girls went home empty handed. LOL!

My First Christmas Prezzie for 2010!

Domani cafe located at Ngee Ann City.

Previously known as the Pasta Cafe.

Minestrone soup so saltish that even BFF the salt lover finds is a tad too much.

Bacon and mix mushroom cream left us happy and craving for more.

Seafood baked penne however, left us in doubt of their standard. As tasteless as the soup is saltish.. huge huge contrast..

An early Christmas gift exchange. Our very first Christmas gift for the year.

Simply love the gift wrapper from Juicy! I'm going to keep it and scrap it!
Taking care not to tear it, I open in anticipation.
Beautiful band from Juicy that made my day! Sweet pink my favourite color.
Merry Christmas my lovely bff! Have a blessed holiday! Muacks!

Christmas Shopping!

Katsu we had before proceeding to Christmas shopping.. Katsu sandwich that Birdie ordered for himself, to tide his hunger while waiting for food.

Gen with her pork Katsu don..

Me with my usual pork katsu..

Check out his socks and slippers. He was saying it's perfectly normal in the states so he's not sure why we're laughing at him.

Definitely not what we'll wear to Orchard! Bought choco for colleagues and a secret prezzie.. Woo hoo! The feel of Christmas is here!

Yonehachi at Takashimaya

Yonehachi @ Takashimaya. A new Japanese stall that had sprung up without my knowing.
5 types of rice to chose from, one would be spoilt for choice!

The rice is placed on top of 'netting' to prevent it from becoming clumpy or burnt in the rice cooker.

A simple menu with simple choices. Nice patient counter crew willing to explain and advise on which set to chose.
Displays looking as good as real!

My fried chicken set with chestnut rice. Silly me kept thinking that I ordered Salmon set thus forgoing the salmon rice. Never fret! There'll be a 2nd time!

Nice fat chestnut greeting me.. This is all I had. Don't ask me if the chicken is good or if the salmon is fresh coz this is the only thing I took for the night. Tiny chicken bits I did not touch.. Not even a flake of almond.. stubborn me yes..

We've Got Guest!

Mr Roneel! All the way from Sydney! We got to know Roneel and Priya (his wife) on our Europe trip and have remained in contact through email. Roneel is here for his business trip and we took him out for dinner tonite at No Signboard. He's our very first guest form overseas and boy are we glad to see him.

Seafood toufu with the right amout of seafood without covering the egg toufu taste. We love it.

Butter crab. I kinda miss my salted egg crab but alas, they do not have it in that combo.

Roneel and Rowan's favourite. Chilly crab! How can we entertain overseas guest without treating them to our famous dish right? Roneel is amazed at how well the fried buns go with the gravy. He even used the gravy on his rice.

I had only one little bun to satisfy my craving. With no gravy, I find myself craving for condensed milk to go with it.

Deep fried bull frog with ginger. Mr Roneel very gamely ordered this to try and loves it! The next time he visits, we'll have the stewed ones with chicken essence! I miss Priya!
