Movie & Dinner Date!

Been ages since we last caught a movie together and hence, we took some time out of our busy schedule to catch one tonight.
Not to mention it has been ages since we had dinner at Dian Xiao Er and so we're back.. Old cucumber soup.. I love how light it tasted..
Spinach with century egg and salted egg.. I vaguely recall there being much more salted egg previously..

The super sinfu Dong Bo Rou.. Stewed pork belly with its super fat jelly meat. Only to be taken once in a super blue moon since we're dieting.. or rather, I am..
Vege rice for Ro? Lol! The shadow on his face makes him look like wu ze tian..

Chubby cheeked me.. Does my teeth look whiter now? Been trying the DIY teeth whitening kit at home..
I love this movie.. Mr Ro can never recall seeing Drew Berrymore in any show previously and same for this time round, he went.. Never see this lady before.. Is she so unimpressive? She's one of my favourite actress... After Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Christina Applegate.. blah blah.. Oh, Ro and I also have long-distanced relationship.. previously when he is in Austin for 6 mths and again soon next year for another 6 months.. Does it work? You bet it does! But only for short periods!

Food tasting ~ Round One!

I love One-ninety! The food they served is delectable! Even my mum loves it.. All I can say is.. right now we're leaning towards western lunch for my wedding. To hell with the price tag.. Woo hoo! I'm getting near to my dream! Having a western wedding. La la la!

PS: I have photos taken with all the food and also of Ro, my bro and Peixi who were there for the tasting with me. However, I can show as that would ruin the element of surprise if we should decide on the western menu. Conclusion.. if the chinese is too normal, we will go with the western menu!

I finally found it!

Chin Chin! I miss it sooooooo much! We didn't know they only moved a street. The last we heard they're migrated to Australia!

Fish maw soup! A hainanese favourite! That's Gen's hand.. She joined Ro and me for dinner! So glad they're around to share my joy of finding Chin Chin again!

Hainanese Chup Chai.. Mixed Vegetables which comprises of fish maw again! Best I've had so far.. By the way, I'm Hainanese.. LOL!

Hot plate toufu. This they failed. Daddy mentioned they can't do anything non-hainanese.. LOL!
My favourite Hainanese pork chops! Goody goody goody! Here I am typing away and having the craving again! Pardon my excitement. Many of you might have gone for umpteen times but I really really miss it after so many years! More than 10! I had Chin Chin at least once a month when I was young. Hell! I had Chin Chin when I was in my mum's tummy! I love Chin Chin!

Storage Storage Storage!

Some couple time spent together finally.. Asian kitchen we went for some home-cooked food alike dinner...

Doggie vege wolfberries soup.. The way Ro's mum would cook. Peppery taste with the sweetness of minced pork and wolfberry..

Salted egg season beans.. I cant help but want to order anything and everything that has salted egg yolk in them.

Bacon wrapped prawns are mediocre.. nothing to rave about..

Huge spider like lighting above us gave Mr Ro shinning forehead.

I would love to try the duck behind me on another visit.. Want to know if it would surpass Dian Xiao Er.

A big thank you to Mr Ro! Nope he didn't pay for my storage drawer.. He did help me cart it all the way home although it's huge n bulky.. I loooovveeee my new drawer! More to come I think!

It's no joke...

Giving out wedding invitations to relatives... Thank god for the long weekend as I doubt I'll be able to complete what I need to do or recover my energy back in time..

Had to work till 4pm yesterday although it's our Public Holiday.. Been around the globe.. Japan, GCR and China. So glad everything went well as the areas have put so much effort into this MBR (Monthly Business Review) with the corp (US HQ, Redmond).

Gobbled my lunch down in front of the lappy and once work is done, rushed off to my 2nd ah kim's house to pass her the invites.. walked over to aunt's house to do the same and since it was late, we stayed to chat and had dinner together.. There goes my Friday.. Sigh..

Woke up bright and early today for my yoga and kekeke.. Wash up and went out distribute the cards! Mummy & daddy had bathed button on Friday while I was working, hence, Yeah! Don't have to bathe button!

Visited my grandma and then after granduncle who stays at Farrer Park. The last I went was donkey years ago, during their house-warming when I was in Primary school. I was shocked! There's tons of stuff in the house. From what I heard, my granduncle is a hoarder and my grandaunt has given up trying to clear since it ensues in arguments.

In any case, after a brief stay there, we proceed to Chinatown for Moon cakes, Wedding tea-set and desserts and ran off before it got too crowded as today coincides with the lights up for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Over to Resorts World we went. It is Daddy's first visit there since he was always only there to pick us up and never left his car. LOL! All I can say is.. I'm exhausted from the walking and nope, nobody went to the casino.. Just walking about RWS as a whole.. A few more invites left un-distributed.. I want to just get it over and done with!

My Buddy's Wedding!

Yea.. this handsome BIG headed man is my buddy! OMG! Time flies... Blink of an eye and he's not only married legally and also customary-ly!

Guest for the day includes Eleanor who is also his client. Special client I would guess in order for her to be invited. LOL! Sorry no pictures of the bride as the picture was taken by the official photographer for the day and I have not recevied them yet. All I can say is.. The bride looks gorgeous! Small pleats to hold her fringe back with a A-line gown and a super long train.. Radiant and super friendly.. I love Jia Yen!

Here's my Prince Charming who's size of head can easily rival my buddy. Yes.. I had to suck in my tummy the whole night and Yes I NEED to get rid of it! :P Wishing my buddy and Jia Yen the most blissful marriage in the world! I can have the 2nd most blissful one.. LOL!
