Meet Ro at Plaza Sing on Friday after work to pay for our scrapbooking class that is happening on 8th Aug 09. YES!! Ro is going to accompany me for scrapbooking class! So sweet of him right? I've been wanting to do it since last year and I'm so surprised he agreed to accompany me without me having to bug him! In any case, that's for another post in Aug :P

We walked about trying to find a place to eat, but felt so sick of PS's food. So i suggested to go Cathay Ashton's for dinner but o.m.g..... SO LONG Q LOR! Maybe i shld say SUPER long q! students, execs, people from all walks of life! I should say that Ashton's is small but the q... I bet need at least 2 hours to get food lor!

So... we tot of going to Mr Bean.. and den after I changed my mind and wanted steamboat.. yes.. steamboat again lor, have this unsatisfiable craving for it! But the steamboats at Parklane are simply too ex to my liking and we stumbled upon Ishi Mura!

It is a food court selling all japanese food! But I must say, though its a novelty, the food there is so so only.


My Ramen @ $7.90. So so only, love the egg though. But overall I still prefer Santouka..


Ro's rice box @$6.90. Paid additional $1.80 for the asparagus..
Note: all tasted charred. Will never order from this stall again.

I doubt Ro will want to go again but I saw quite a number of people having the Omu Rice, the Stone Bowl Rice and the Rice Burger.. might physco him to go again a few months later.. kekekeke

I love the way the blue jellies contrast with the green leaves. Muz say a big big THANK YOU to Michelle, my hr exec. She got her mum to buy the blue jellies for me and sacrifised a stalk of her money plant for me!

The blue jelly for the plant is so cool! It helps to soak up the water for the plant to use! Dun have to water the plant after that! It will shrink into a smaller size if the plant uses up the water.

And I've snapped the pics of how it grew! So cool lor!

New Beginning :)

Drum roll please....

MY NEW SEAT!



Stayed till 12am last nite with Ash n Nic to shift our seats! I love the new big table. Now i can work on my lappy and look at my papers without having to put them side by side! There is enough space for both of them at one shot!

Seems like the new seat brought some luck as I got a call from a recruiter this morning telling me she has a few openings that I can try :D

On my left is the HR room! Michelle and I keep gesturing to each other coz we are separated by a glass panel :)

But all is not rosy coz the producer is sitting behind me and she can see the whole of my desk through the glass strip in front of her. See my pic and you know what I mean. There is no privacy in this new seat as everyone who comes in to work will walk pass me. Most of them do not use the main door as they would have to pass the boss's rooms.

And and and right now hor, my area is empty except for me and the producer as the people at my area's clearing their leave! so its very quiet and boring... Too bad online radio is not longer available.. perhaps its time i brought my MP3 player..

I went to work in a bright and chirpy mood today.. but things can only go downhill....

Ordered beehoon set at Happy Belly thinking that it would only cost $1.80 as per the phamplet they gave out for July's promotion, only to be informed that it would be $2.80 as the promo was applicable only for dine-in. How can!! The phamplet nv say lor!

Huge pack of bee hoon made me lose my appetite for lunch. In any case, the news I heard over lunch made me completely upset. So upset I couldn't finish my ramen. :(

I feel unjust.

I feel un-appreciated.

I don't get why the manager is always in the limelight when she does not perform well at work. Even my Financial Controller(FC) don't get it.

Why is it that she does things so slowly, suck at excel (a basic pre-requisite for finance staff) and knows next to nothing, but earns much more than me and is so well liked by the bosses in Paris?

Maybe I am being too presumptous to think that she is not performing better than me.

Maybe there are things that I need to learn from her.

Maybe the bosses just like her 'innocence'.

I don't get it. I really don't know.

For someone who can't even handle basic work and is so slow that she always gets scolding by my FC, I don't get it why the bosses think that she is good.

Got the news that I might lose my job as they would like to merge all the entities. It would be between the Manager and me. But they have plan to sponsor her studies, either degree or ACCA, as her technical skills is very poor. She has a degree in her country but it is not recognised here.

Why sponsor her?

Why not sponsor my CPA?

Why does she get to stay and not me?

Why isit her performance review is much poorer than me but she gets all the benefits?

Maybe cause she used to work in our co in her country, thus the big bosses know more about her.

Maybe cause she has the working 'luck'.

Maybe cause they like it when she acts innocent.

Its a battle of the 'Whys' and the 'Maybes'.

What I know I can do is to BUCK UP. I am going to search actively for jobs. Just to prepare for the worst. This aint the best co that I've worked for, but what I know is that there are worst. I hope, like what they say, it is all a suggestion, an alternative. I hope it doesn't come true!

The manager once told me. She read this book, the secret, and it talks about self-fulfilling prophecy. She now puts on her tagline that she has an abundant life. And it seems that it is coming true. Perhaps I should borrow her book to read :P

In any case, NO NEGATIVE ENERGY ALLOWED.

I firmly believe that nothing can beat me down. Lose my job? I'll get one on my own!
No worries! I have loving family and friends who are around for me!

Getting excited while waiting for the bus to Toa Payoh!

I've always wanted to get a Nitendo Wii ever since I played it at Infocus. However, with a lousy tv set at home, it is almost silly to get a Wii as it would not have fully utilised the nice graphics provided nor could I afford a Wii... Kekekekeke...

I LOVE GAMING ARENA! It's my dream come true! Over at the arena, I get to play my favourite Wii and also PS3! Peixi, Bro and Ro had fun with me playing the Wii.. I swear i developed a big right bicep just buy playing Wii! With 2 private rooms, we're all relaxed and at ease that no matter how silly we look, nobody will know!

We played some dancing game that caused everyone to knock into each other and also the Rockband on PS3! I am really good at musical instruments lor! I totally ROCK when we played the Rockband! Not only can I sing, I can play the guitar and the drum! I DIG the DRUMS! whahaha.. I AM INVINCIBLE!!!!

The first blog entry of 2009 goes to.....

MY MUMMY!!! Happy birthday!!

The original plan was to meet at bugis and go for steamboat at Tan Quee Lan. However, the little steamboat restaurant that we wanted to go to, Jin's Deli was full and we were informed that we have to wait for 30 mins -_-'

I left my number with them thinking to go shop around Bugis Junction but my bro had little patience for that. Went with his suggestion of steamboat at Beach Road, thus we took bus 100 to Golden Mile for our traditional Hainanese Steamboat :S.

Golden Mile Thien Kee has been around even before I was born. My family has been a loyal customer for over 30 yrs! It's been a long time since I visited that restaurant and I was surprised to see that they have taken over a few of the shops as expansion and that we're eating even along the corridor. Yes~! Business is that good! Crazy lor! Nothing fabulous nor fantastic, just a normal steamboat. I guess they have been accumulating loyal customers like us! kekekekekeke.....

Tired...

i'm tired.. why are the quarrels never ending. why is he no longer the one i know. why isit that small things lead to big quarrels. where are the compromises that i once know of. where are the promise of not picking at each other. why isit that the tiniest thing will result in him flaring up at me.

i noe its difficult over at his end. how about me? am i not suffering here too? i'm not the one who agreed to go over. i'm not the one who gets to visit different places. he promised to save up for our future. i didnt make any noise at the trips he made but why, why cant he just give in a bit to me..

i'm tired.. tired till death of all these nonsensical quarrels.
